Inlaying rings - process and materials I use

Inlaying a ring gives it more detail, color, and even luxury, in this post I am going to share some of the methods I use for inlay and list some of the material I use for inlay.

When I inlay a ring I usually create a groove in it and fill it with the inlay material, in some rings I create a straight groove and in some, I create small holes and fill them.

After the groove/ holes are ready I insert the desired material and glue it in place, crushed stones are placed one by one with tweezers and powders are sprinkled.

Then the excess is sanded until the surface is flat and then the ring is coated and polished.

Check out this video to see how I inlay a bentwood ring.
